In my opinion, the JLV ligature is the most important innovation in the saxophone world.
It surpasses everything I have played in terms of intonation, projection, and consistency, offering me an unprecedented freedom of musical expression.
THE BIOGRAPHY OF ERLEND JENTOFT
Erlend Jentoft, Norwegian saxophonist and composer, combines jazz, original creation and diverse collaborations. Founder of the E.J. Band and member of the Fiber orchestra, he explores both the national and international scene.
His compositions, ranging from saxophone quartet to film music, reflect a rich and versatile universe.
➤ Erlend Jentoft (born March 16, 1976, in Trondheim) is a Norwegian saxophonist and composer.
➤ Trained in the jazz program at the Norwegian University of Science (1995-1999), he founded his own E.J. Band and plays in the group Hybrid Division.
➤ Since 2001, he has been part of the Fiber orchestra alongside Don Tomaso (electronics), Jon Krogstad (bass), Håvard Stubø (guitar) and Magnus Forsberg (drums), and also performs in a trio with Truls Rønning (drums) and Ola Høyer (bass).
➤ He composes and arranges for saxophone quartet, quintet, and big band, and also writes original soundtracks for cinema and music for theatre.
➤ He has performed numerous concerts in Norway and internationally.
