« Quality & Comfort »

Since its release, I have been using the JLV ligature and was immediately captivated by the incomparable sound quality it offers, as well as the comfort and serenity it brings me with my reeds.
It even makes the soprano much more pleasant to play, with a rounder sound and enhanced ease of execution.

The pleasure of playing at any age!

THE BIOGRAPHY OF MICHAEL BOUGON

MiK, saxophonist and flutist, draws his inspiration from world and modal music.
His creations blend jazz, sacred rhythms, and ethnic influences.
A globe-trotting artist, he performs on prestigious international stages.

Michael Bougon, also known as MiK, is a saxophonist (soprano & tenor), flutist, composer, and arranger.

His musical universe, shaped throughout his travels, is deeply inspired by ethnic and modal music.

He explores and integrates into his creations traditional instruments such as the Peul flute, the ney, the gimbri, and the ngoni.

He has collaborated with major artists of the ethno-jazz scene, including Gnawa master Majid Bekkas, and takes part in the Urban Folklore project, blending Moroccan influences and jazz.

His performances have led him to prestigious stages and festivals, notably in Tangier, Brussels, and Casablanca.

His compositions, such as Sahara Blue (West Africa), Lama Bada (Arab-Senegalese fusion), Café Touba (liturgical chant), Andalou (Andalusian chant and overtone singing), and Cubandhi (classical, Indian, and Cuban fusion), reflect his desire to unite ancestral traditions with modernity.

Active both on stage and in the studio, MiK also shares his music during private and cultural events (cocktails, weddings, festivals, corporate evenings).

HIS SAXOPHONE EQUIPMENT

I have been using the JLV ligature since its release.

I was immediately fascinated by the sound quality I obtained with it, incomparable to other ligatures, and besides having a better sound, I feel more at ease with my reeds (no more air leaks on the edges!).

The soprano, which I used to dread a little, has become much more enjoyable and comfortable to play.

In fact, even my 7-year-old son got into it (curved soprano), and he can hear the difference compared to a standard ligature!

For my part, I notice a rounder tone and greater ease in playing, which honestly is not a luxury when you're starting out

The pleasure of playing!

I have also adopted the "phonic ring", which brings a very pleasant sensation to the sound texture.

I can’t wait to try the upcoming innovations.
