Irvin Blanco, Venezuelan saxophonist from Curiepe (State of Miranda), grew up at the heart of a family musical tradition.
His father, a military man and saxophonist, and his great-grandfather Pablo, founder of a local music school nearly a century ago, passed down their passion and expertise, making the saxophone the center of his artistic life.
A tenor saxophone specialist, Irvin has made his mark on the Venezuelan and international scene as a member of the cult band Desorden Público, an emblematic figure of ska in Venezuela.
He also took part in the Sinfonía Desordenada project, an ambitious initiative supported by the National Geographic Society, bringing together artists worldwide during the pandemic.
A versatile artist, he moves between jazz, contemporary fusions, and electronic mix creations, collaborating with various musicians and producers.
His playing, both energetic and expressive, combines free improvisation with meticulous arrangements.
Alongside his collective projects, Irvin performs solo under the name Irvin Sax Jazz, sharing his performances on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
His tours have taken him across Europe, Latin America, and to major stages worldwide, with notable performances in Greece.
Today, Irvin Blanco embodies a passionate and open vision of music, blending respect for roots with sound innovation, and proudly representing the new generation of Latin American saxophone on the international scene.
