➤ TingKwan (Jason) Lau is an emerging saxophonist based in Toronto, specializing in classical and contemporary music.
➤ An active performer and pedagogue, he masters the complete saxophone repertoire and distinguishes himself both as a soloist and in chamber music.
➤ Winner of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music Winds Competition (2018), he was selected to participate in the 7th Andorra International Saxophone Competition in 2020.
➤ His passion for the virtuoso possibilities of the saxophone drives him to explore repertoires beyond his instrument.
➤ Currently in his first year of a Master’s degree in saxophone at the Lemmensinstituut, he studies under Mariano Garcia and Nadine Bal.
➤ Recipient of the David and Marcia Beach Summer Study Award and a scholarship from the Undergraduate Association, he was able to participate in the European University of Saxophone in Gap (2017-2019).
➤ There, he received instruction from masters such as Claude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, and Vincent David.
