Adam Ambarzumjan is a soloist and chamber musician, winner of international competitions.
Since 2020, he has been solo clarinetist of the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen.
➤ In 2023, he received a special prize at the German Music Competition as a chamber musician and became a scholar of the German Music Council’s Concert Support Program.
Trained with Prof. Norbert Kaiser at the HMDK Stuttgart, he obtained his Bachelor and Master with the highest marks.
➤ He completed his training with masterclasses from Hans-Dietrich Klaus, Martin Spangenberg, Johannes Peitz, Thomas Lindhorst and Thorsten Johanns.
As a solo clarinetist, he performs with renowned radio, theater and symphony orchestras in Germany.
➤ A former academist of the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, he was awarded the Deutschlandstipendium and received support from the Bavarian Music Council, the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Stuttgart, the PE-Förderkreis Mannheim, the Neue Liszt Stiftung, and the Society of Friends of the HMDK Stuttgart.
With his brother, the pianist Hamlet Ambarzumjan, he forms the Duo Hamlet & Adam.
➤ Their initiative “Neustart Konzerte” (2021) toured across Germany to revitalize the cultural scene, supported by a federal government grant, the GVL, and numerous cultural offices.
