Carlos Zaragoza – Saxophonist and Educator
Originally from Spain, Carlos Zaragoza discovered the saxophone in a small music school before continuing his studies in several prestigious institutions:

➤ Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles
➤ Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris
Between 2017 and 2021, he obtained:
➤ A Master’s degree in Saxophone – CNSMDP (Paris)
➤ A Master’s degree in Musicology, Interpretation, and Heritage – Université Paris-Saclay & CRR of Versailles
Awards and Distinctions
He has distinguished himself in several international saxophone competitions, winning:
➤ 1st Prize – International Competition of Andorra
➤ 2nd Prize – L’Haÿ-les-Roses Competition
➤ 1st Honor Prize – Léopold Bellan Competition (2020)
He has also received the support of the Fondation Meyer and was awarded by:
➤ INAEM – Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música
➤ Collège d’Espagne (Paris) – production and edition of an artistic CD
Commitment to Musical Creation and Concerts
Passionate about the development of the saxophone and its repertoire, Carlos Zaragoza takes part in numerous creations and concerts as a soloist and with the Gaman Ensemble. He has performed:

➤ National Orchestra of Andorra
➤ Symphony Orchestra of Castilla-La Mancha
➤ Orchestra of Lutetia
He has also collaborated with Éditions Henry Lemoine, publishing his arrangement for solo saxophone of Les Folies d’Espagne by Marin Marais.
Pedagogy and Teaching
Since 2018, he has taught saxophone at the Conservatoire Jean-Baptiste Lully (Puteaux). He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Chamber Music with the Gaman Ensemble at the CNSMD of Paris.
