Dorota SAMSEL

Dorota Samsel is a renowned saxophonist and a certified saxophone professor.

A graduate of several prestigious musical institutions, she obtained her saxophone degree at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Metz (2004), the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin (2003), and the National Conservatory of Music in Warsaw (2000).

From 1999 to 2018, she taught as a saxophone professor at the National Conservatory of Music in Poznań.

An active and dedicated musician, she is a member of several ensembles:

➤ A saxophone quintet and string quartet, with which she recorded an album dedicated to contemporary Polish music.

 
➤ The International Flute-Saxophone Duo.

 
➤ The saxophone duo "Ars Duo", which released the album “Conversations de Saxophones”.

As a soloist, she has performed with numerous symphony orchestras in Poland, as well as chamber orchestras and saxophone ensembles in France and Germany.

She has collaborated for several years with prestigious ensembles such as:

➤ The Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra.

 
➤ The Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, with which she recorded an album of works by Krzysztof Penderecki.

 
➤ The National Orchestras of Gorzów Wielkopolski, Opole, and Wałbrzych.

Her concert activity regularly leads her to participate in major international music festivals, such as:

She has performed in Poland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Italy, both with orchestras and in chamber music.

Passionate about sharing her knowledge, Dorota Samsel regularly leads masterclasses and workshops, particularly in Poland and France (CNR of Valenciennes, CNR of Douai).

Her students stand out in national and international competitions, winning First Prizes and Honorary Awards at prestigious competitions such as:

➤ Saxophone Competition of Metz (1st and 2nd Prize).
