Born in Naples in March 2004, Chiara Maria Beatrice Cannavale is a versatile saxophonist, active as a soloist and chamber musician, exploring a wide classical and contemporary repertoire. She masters the entire saxophone family, which she regularly uses in her performances.
She has obtained:
➤ Diplôme d'Études Musicales COP (Cycle d’Orientation Professionnelle) in saxophone at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles (France), in the class of Maestro Vincent David, with the highest honors.
➤ First Academic Diploma (Bachelor’s – three years) with a grade of 110/110 with honors and special mention.
➤ Second Academic Diploma (Master’s – two years) with a grade of 110/110 with honors and special mention in saxophone, both obtained at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Music in Naples, under the guidance of Maestro Francesco Salime.
She is currently continuing her saxophone studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, under Maestro Simon Diricq.
Her talent has been rewarded many times, with over 30 prizes won in national and international competitions, in Italy and abroad.
She has participated in numerous masterclasses and workshops, led by world-renowned saxophonists such as Claude Delangle, Vincent David, Jean-Denis Michat, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Jérôme Laran, Nikita Zimin, Nicolas Prost, Christophe Bois, Matthieu Delage, Michel Supera, Kenneth Tse, Sergey Kolesov, Mariano Garcia, Daniel Gauthier, and many others. She has also taken part in international workshops, notably in FERMO.
Her concert activity is intense, with over 50 concerts performed in Italy and abroad, both as a soloist and in chamber music. Among her notable performances, she played in March 2021 at the prestigious Andorra Sax Fest, in the auditorium of the Principality of Andorra.
