Born in 1993 in Campo de Criptana (Spain), Daniel Sánchez Manjavacas discovered music at the age of four at his hometown’s music school.
In 2013, he completed his training at the Centro Integrado de Enseñanza Musical Federico Moreno Torroba (Madrid), earning an honorary mention in saxophone.
Education and Awards
In 2017, Daniel graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León under Juan Clemente Novo and Ángel Soria, achieving the highest marks.
His talent was quickly recognized with several chamber music prizes:
➤ 1st Prize – Concurso Ciudad de Ávila
➤ 1st Prize – Concurso Jóvenes Músicos (Salamanca), where he also received the highest distinction with his quartet.
Artistic Career
Daniel Sánchez Manjavacas has performed a wide portion of the classical saxophone repertoire as a soloist, both with chamber ensembles and symphonic and wind orchestras.
In 2019, after two years of studies in Paris, he obtained his Master’s in Musicology, Performance, and Heritage at the CRR of Versailles and the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, under the guidance of Vincent David.
The same year, he joined the Military Music Corps of the Spanish Armed Forces, after successfully passing the competitive exam.
Advanced Training and Current Projects
Always pursuing excellence, Daniel has trained with internationally renowned saxophonists through masterclasses and advanced courses, enriching his expressive playing and musical interpretation.
He currently combines his professional activity with an active artistic career, performing regularly on stage.
