Dawson Coleman is a saxophonist and music educator based in Kansas City, Missouri.
He has been recognized nationally as a soloist by the North American Saxophone Alliance, Music Teachers National Association, U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," and Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance, among others.
As a concerto soloist, he has been featured with the Florida State University Philharmonia, contemporary music ensemble Polymorphia, and Interlochen's Intermediate Wind Symphony.
A dedicated educator, Coleman currently serves as Instructor of Saxophone at William Jewell College.
He is also the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory's saxophone studio.
His recent teaching engagements include guest masterclasses at Eastern Michigan University, the University of Central Missouri, and the University of Kansas.
Coleman holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Florida State University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
