Ron Moton began music at the age of 8 with classical piano, before adopting the saxophone. At only 14, he gave his first professional paid concert.
His beginnings were rooted in bebop and standards, but his universe quickly expanded to gospel – as a producer, performer, musical director, and minister of music.
Versatile, he explores a wide range of genres: big band, theater, vaudeville, pit orchestras, R&B, funk, traditional Latin and Latin jazz, polka, traditional Portuguese music, country, country swing, rock, pop, and rap/hip-hop. He is a saxophonist, flutist, and singer in the R&B group ConFunkShun.
A complete artist and a sought-after producer, Ron leads numerous projects every year for clients in the United States and internationally, always favoring music that uplifts the human spirit.
As a composer, performer, record producer, studio musician, songwriter, educator, and MIDI composition instructor, he has established himself as an essential figure.
His career has taken him to the world’s greatest stages: the Cotton Club (Japan), tours in Russia with the Russian Philharmonic Society and the Russian Federation National Big Band, festivals such as the Russian Snow Jazz Festival, as well as concerts in Mexico, Aruba, the Caribbean, France, Kuwait, and Iraq.
Committed, he funds scholarships and provides mentorship to young talents in difficulty or special circumstances, helping new generations of musicians to emerge.
