Like every saxophonist, I seek a sound and a personality unique to my instrument. After testing the JLV ligature out of curiosity, I discovered a more homogeneous sound across the entire range, broader, with an incomparable ease of emission.
Today, it equips all my saxophones, and I remain faithful to it.
THE BIOGRAPHY OF SÉBASTIEN TROGNON
Sébastien Trognon, French saxophonist and Cannonball ambassador, combines passion and virtuosity on the international stage.
Founder of the Portuguese Saxophone Association, he contributes actively to cultural life and major events in the field.
His refined jazz interpretations showcase his talent and his role alongside prestigious brands.
Sébastien Trognon is a French saxophonist recognized on the professional scene, holding the prestigious status of official ambassador of Cannonball Musical Instruments.
Engaged in the international saxophone community, he is the founder of the Portuguese Saxophone Association and contributed to the organization of the 2nd European Saxophone Congress in Porto (2017).
A versatile artist, he stands out in several public videos where he performs jazz standards such as Stolen Moments, Feel Like Making Love, and Never Let Me Go. These highlight his refined playing, using ASC mouthpieces (Foehn 8, Mistral 7*, Scirocco 7), further reinforcing his role as a demonstrator and ambassador for Cannonball and JLV Sound.

We spend our lives searching for a sound, a personality on our instrument. Like all saxophonists, I had heard about the JLV ligature without really believing it, but being naturally curious, I had the chance to test it during a tour...
And then, what a pleasure!!!
The sound became more homogeneous throughout the entire range, broader, with an incomparable ease of emission. Through my profession, I’ve had the opportunity to try everything
available in ligatures...
Today, I have adopted it on all my saxophones and I remain faithful — impossible to change.
JLV is simply an alchemist of sound.
