Born in Chicago, Doug Webb moved to California at the age of 3.
Graduating from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He started clarinet at 8, then added saxophone and flute at 15.
Now based in Los Angeles with his wife Alex and their son Ryan, he has built an impressive career.
Over the years, Doug Webb has collaborated and recorded with legends such as Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Quincy Jones, Stanley Clarke, Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, Bonnie Raitt, and Pancho Sanchez.
He played in the house band of the Dennis Miller Show, in Jimmy Cleveland’s orchestra, and continues to tour with Doc Severinsen’s big band.
A versatile musician, he has recorded for hundreds of films and TV shows, and has been a featured soloist on the soundtracks of Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, and Jersey Boys.
Appearing on hundreds of albums, Doug Webb is recognized for his mastery and creativity, both on stage and in the studio.
