Stephan Vermeersch, Belgian clarinetist and saxophonist, graduated from the Lemmens Institute of Leuven and the Royal Conservatory of Ghent.
He obtained:

➤ First Prize in Bass Clarinet (1990)
➤ First Prize in Chamber Music (1991)
➤ Certificate of Aptitude in Saxophone (1996)
Trained with Greet Severens (student of Walter Boeykens) for clarinet and Ed Bogaard for saxophone, he enriched his education through numerous masterclasses worldwide.
A versatile artist, Stephan Vermeersch stands out as a performer, improviser, and composer in classical, contemporary, world, and electro-acoustic music.
He creates bridges between cultures and artistic disciplines (visual arts, dance, cinema, architecture, literature, theater), developing a unique musical language.
Invited to international stages and festivals, he has performed in over 35 countries: Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, Russia, North America, Central and Eastern Asia. His mastery of clarinets and saxophones, combined with great artistic curiosity, makes him a key figure in innovative music.
